Open Question: If natural medicine is quackery, why does it help so many people?
Isn’t it a contradiction to the scientific method itself, to claim that because natural medicine doesn’t have a lot of scientific research behind it, that everything about it is implausible? If natural medicine methods haven’t been researched, how can people infer that it is “faulty medicine”? To make such a statement, while there is no actual research behind it, would mean it is a pseudoscientific claim in itself.

Besides, why do so many people get frustrated with conventional medicine after being to 10 doctors and never receiving a proper cure or diagnosis, then turn to alternative methods of treatment and finally find an answer to their health issue?

Why do a lot of people benefit from physical therapy, acupuncture, and chiropracty? And why are there also people who drastically improve their health conditions by eating a healthy, natural diet and getting off medications and drugs? Is this just a coincidence?

Open Question: Do you know what GMO foods even are? Huge issue, massively covered up by government and media.?
lates biotech industries in regards to genetically modified products? Did you know that over 70% of what you see at the grocery store is genetically modified?

We’ve been told that genetic modification is “substantially equivalent” to non-GMO products, that GMO crops have been proven safe, that genetic modification (”enhancement”, what a joke) is a solution to world hunger. Most people have, conveniently, never heard of GMO foods at all and only about 25% of Americans believe they’ve ate GMOs. In fact, I can say ALL of you have had GMO foods and you won’t even know about it.

The simple fact is, there have been NO independent studies proving GMO foods safe. MOST independent animal-feeding studies have shown GMO foods to be harmful to animals.

I’ll now quote “Genetic Roulette”, a book absolutely everybody interested about the subject must read:
“Inserting transgenes is like throwing darts that can land in more than a billion possible locations in a genome. At the insertion site, the host’s natural genes may become mutated, deleted, altered, or permanently turned on or off.”

In a nutshell, genetic modification can trigger an endless amount of mutations, some of which may be very toxic to human health. There have been countless reports of workers getting severe allergies handling GMO cotton or inhaling the pollen of GMO corn, all documented in the book.

Never heard of this? Sound crazy? Sound interesting? Check it out:

http://video.google.com + “World According to Monsanto”
http://infowars-shop.stores.yahoo.net/seofde.html
http://infowars-shop.stores.yahoo.net/gero.html

And GMO technology is NOT the same as selective breeding.
When you fire away with a gene gun, you are in effect attempting to cross a species with another species of an incompatible genome. Ever heard of tomatoes mating with flounders? And evidence shows that the recombinant DNA injected into the crop is unstable and can recombine in the host organism consuming the product, causing unpredictable genetic damage to the host organism. And not to mention animal-feeding studies in which lab rats fed GMO soy or GMO potatoes developed reproductive damage, enlarged livers, enlarged kidneys, and those independent studies were never followed up on, their funding was caught, and, in short, they were silenced by governments and biotech firms.

They’re ENGINEERING famines and using them as a pretext to invade 3rd world countries with GMO foods. Think, use your brain. They’ve destroyed Iraqi seed banks and replaced them with GMO seeds from Monsanto when they went to Iraq, why? It’s all documented in “Seeds of Destruction” on http://globalresearch.ca

Oh, and studies have come out that pesticide-resistant crops, like Bt corn, are EVEN MORE harmful than the conventional pesticide; research it, it’s been proven. Educate yourself and ignore the lies.

Don’t listen to what Monsanto and the mainstream media tell you; check this out for yourself.

Open Question: Please help proof read my wrt 101 essay! easy!?
INTRO (NOT PART OF ESSAY): Hey guys, I have my first essay due in a new class and I am really rusty with my grammar. Please help by highlighting my errors. Any suggestions on reworking paragraphs and stuff like that are welcome as well. This essay is based off of a “Life Colors Survey” that we did online that shows where your personality is in the Water-Fire-Earth-Sky quadrants. I scored mainly in the Water-Sky Quadrant, which I will copy and paste the result passage below this. The essay itself is below that, after the big capital letters saying so. :) Thanks!

“You scored mainly in the Water-Sky quadrant. This ‘blue’ quadrant highlights the ‘water’ sign of your personality and your tendency to be cool and free-flowing in most circumstances. Water from the sky provides the necessary resources for growth and this is a feature of your approach to life. You will enjoy the freshness of new ideas and actively seek these out, either by talking to others or by reading.
People who map into this quadrant will enjoy examining problems or making discoveries. Consequently, you may sometimes tend to take your time in coming to decisions which affect your day-to-day life. If there are any uncertainties, your natural reaction will be to postpone things until you are sure.
You are unlikely to enjoy conflict situations which, more than likely, will create stress for you. In these circumstances you may well be a ‘worrier’ and this could affect your health. As a result you will usually move to defuse any potential conflicts well before they occur.
You will be a considerate person and choose your words carefully so that you don’t upset others. Sometimes however, you may be so subtle that people don’t realize what you are feeling about a particular issue. You may need to check that people fully understand your views and incorporate these into their decision making.
Being a ’sky’ person, you may well have a strong imagination which causes you to fantasize about the future. Future possibilities interest you greatly whereas the past is something you can readily put behind you. However, be careful that you don’t live too much in the future. There are the realities of day-to-day living to think about.”

HERE IS THE ESSAY, PROOF READ THIS STUFF PLEASE! :)

I have always wondered what urges people to take this sort of survey. Why do we feel the need to fill out a questionnaire that promises to describe your personality based on twenty multiple answer questions? I really don’t know, but I too am also guilty of this trait. I love to analyze things, sometimes too much. This, among many other of my attributes, have made their way on to my survey result.

Throughout my life I have always been considered an easy going person. This part of my personality is most likely the main reason for me being partially in the water quadrant. I try to make things in my life go by as smoothly as possible. Like river water, flowing around the debris or conflicts in it’s path. I believe this to be a big influence on my life, and others involved in it.

My laid back side is definitely not the only thing the survey seemed to spot in in my personality. The passage mentions my love of discovering and analyzing everything in my path. My earliest memories are that of discovering new and exciting things. I have always been in love with the idea of discovering. There is so much going on in this world today, how can you not be? Every day I look forward to analyzing something new to me, or discovering a new way of life. There are so many different possibilities in this world, it is amazing to be able to learn about just a small fraction of it.

But, at what point does one stop analyzing and move on? That is a question I often ask myself when making life’s daily choices. I have a bad habit of not being able to stop analyzing things that really don’t affect my life. I guess this can sometimes be helpful when dealing with decisions that might have a long term effect. But, I estimate that this attribute waste more time than it has ever saved me. I am always striving to get better at making the decision, and taking the necessary action as soon as possible.

One other trait that the Life Colors survey was correct with, was my ability to imagine. I have always been a dreamer, and will continue to be one. I love the idea of being able to create something so beautiful, from nothing. Dreams themselves fascinate me. To have something so far apart from this world come to life in a dream is truly magnificent. Albert Einstein once said “The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination. “, and I have always taken that to heart. Where would we be now without imagination? If god does truly exists, did he imagine us all?

The Life Colors survey has enabled me to read about my personality in a way I have never had the chance to before. In some ways, I feel like parts of the results are the ways that other people i

other people in my life view me. I think we all need to identify our own traits, and try to improve upon areas in which we can. As a society we spend so much time analyzing the lives of the others, why not work on ourselves a bit?
