Open Question: Should I get my gallbladder removed?
I have gallstones and my doctor recommended I get my gallbladder removed because I am on birth control and the gallstones might act up again, even with a low-fat diet. I have been reading online about personal stories of people having severe problems after the surgery including nausea and diarrhea after eating even years after the surgery. Any advice from personal experiences with this surgery will be helpful. Thanks!
Open Question: Diet after gallbladder removed?
Hi there. I’m 8 months pregnant and I had an open surgery to get my gall bladder removed on June 27th, 2009. My doctor over and over told me that i didn’t have to watch out for certain foods and that i can continue eating whatever I want.
Well yesterday was the first time I started throwing up since my surgery. I threw up EVERYTHING i ate and then in the middle of the night I was throwing up nice green bile like i did immediately after my surgery. I threw up some more bile and food while getting ready for work this morning with the diahhrea also. Then when i got to work i ate half of a banana and 30 seconds after swallowing it, i was throwing up again.
I thought maybe i just had a bug, but i know i dont. What are some good things to eat? I know everyones different. In two weeks i’ve only had 2 cans of soda…so its not like i’m a soda addict and stuff….i have been craving milk and have had about a glass a day for the last 4 days. I looked up one diet and it said to eat all organic food…i would go broke and starve to death if that’s all i could eat. I also haven’t eaten any fast food since my surgery.
Like i said, I know everyone’s different….but I could really use the guidance.
Thank you
Voting Question: what diet should i follow after gallbladder removal?
