Open Question: Is brachytherapy good for a PC patient at the age of 82?
My dad was diagonalized prostate cancer with a gleason score of 8 and psa at 40. His doctor suggested him to have a brachytherapy. Although he is healthy in general, he is an 82 years old man. I worry that the side effect will be too much for him. Since his cancer is considered as high-risk, radiation therapy may not be effective. If anyone can provide information or opinion, I really appreciate it.
Open Question: Why can’t I gain an erection, and got blood in my urine after my Rectal Bioscopy?
Hey,
One of my buddies just got a Rectal Bioscopy (they were checking for Prostate Cancer). He had gone in for a physical and was told he had an enlarged prostate so they wanted to send him to have a Rectal Bioscopy done. During the process, they made 12 snips – which, from my understanding, is way too many snips for that procedure. The results came back negative for cancer, but every since that visit he’s had blood in his urine and a problem gaining an erection (which is obviously becoming a problem). And obviously his rectum was very sore for awhile due to all them snips. Doing some research, the only people I’ve found talking about it only had got 1 snip of tissue taken from them.
Afterwards they sent him a bill for $450 (after his insurance had paid their portion – which is a great insurance provider). They said the “surgery” costs him $1800 – He was just going in for a physical, then they send him through all the loop holes, everything comes back negative yet he gains physical health problems, and they want to bill him for it. It sounds like it’s money-hungry doctors who don’t know what in the world they’re doing. Is there anything my buddy can do about his urinary and erection problems? What about legal advice, would he have a case against the doctor(s) – 12 Snips in the Anus is completely ridiculous, and I’m sure uncalled for. Any input would be very greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.
Open Question: What is CNN’s obsession with studying ‘black’ people?
Every frickin day at cnn.com, there is some idiotic incredibly racist article about blacks.I am not black myself, nor do I need to be to see the OBVIOUS bias with CNN. What is their OBSESSION with putting them under a microscope on everything? First of all, it is nothing more than a skin color as many so-called ‘african-americans’ have a very mixed background. In fact, Africa has some of the most diverse genetic structures than anywhere else on the planet. Here is a link to YET ANOTHER article on blacks and prostate cancer.
Racism is not dead. It is cloaked by so called ’scientific research’ in a continued effort to somehow prove they are inferior.
Who else finds this sickening?
